FUGUE, a sound focused dining space in  Berlin, Germany

Fugue is a spatial dining concept developed in Berlin, Germany. Becoming one with a new city requires an open immersion between self and environment, aided by the senses. Much like the intermingling of our senses can change our experiences, at Fugue I want guests to be transformed to new places through sound during their meal.

During my time in Berlin, Germany, I was greatly influenced by the sounds of the city. Berlin not only has visual markers of its rich history throughout, but that history also resonates through sound. Whether in the design of the acoustically renowned Philharmonie, the constant construction / re-construction of infrastructure, or the quiet unchanged spaces like its cemeteries, the city's reverberance is something that stays with you. Berlin continues to embody soundscapes of a changing place.
